Mary Magdalene has touched the edges of my life many times since I was a child but it wasn’t until I read the book: ‘I Remember Union’ by Flo Aeveia Magdalena in 1999, that I received a direct transmission from Mary herself.

I had just been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and was bed-ridden for much of that time in my life. I was 27 years old.

A Shaman I was apprenticing with had given me the book.

As I sat in bed aching and exhausted my eyes traced the rivers of words snaking across the pages. Tears plopped onto the paper.

Page after page, wave after wave, I was changed.

It was my first Magdalene initiation into the Rose Sisterhood and remembrance of a sacred lineage.

My health began to slowly recover after that.

It was the start of my journey home to myself. Home to Her.

For thousands of years she was called a whore.

Deleted and edited.

Erased from ancient art.

Removed from her seat at the table.

Her contribution to the life and enlightenment of Jesus removed from history.

Fast forward a couple of thousand years and she is made a saint by the Vatican and given a feast day.

Whore to Saint.

Patriarchy is fickle and doesn’t get to decide who Mary Magdalene really was, any more than it gets to decide who YOU really are.

Neither of those versions are correct.

She was a woman.

A gifted, mystical, awake, conscious, embodied, powerful woman. A sister of the rose. A woman of light and blood. An alchemist and teacher. An abundant, empowered leader in her own right. And a threat to the growing patriarchal political and religious systems.

Sound familiar?

So when you are celebrating the feast day of Mary Magdalene on July 22nd, remember that She is returning now through many of us as we reclaim our power and restore the lost ways.

Call on her.

Place her on your altar as a red rose or chalice, speak her into your spells, whisper her into your prayers.

She is the energy finding it’s way through generations into the world now. The unending red thread binding us to life and to the memory of a time and a magic still alive in the future-past.

My new boyfriend was now nursing a stonker of a hangover.

“I’m so sorry about last night” he said.

He had such a charming authenticity about him, an innocence and a vulnerability that made it hard to get angry with him.

But I was angry. I felt hurt and disrespected.

I knew deep down the friend he went out with the night before had deliberately encouraged him to get blind drunk to sabotage our first weekend together and I didn’t want him to win.

So I stayed and made excuses for Noah rather than tell him how I really felt and then head straight back home.

The thing is I already loved him and I wanted this to work.

He represented a safety and kindness I had not experienced before. I thought we could build something good together, have a life.

Maybe I just needed to forgive him this one slip up, give him the benefit of the doubt, he was probably just nervous, right?

We hadn’t been seeing each for long. Maybe things would improve.

And right there was my first small self-abandonment.

It would not be my last.

I was excited about building a new life, particularly after several dark years recovering from the death of my mother, the subsequent spiritual emergency, a breakdown, Shamanic initiations and illness.

I now felt strong, independent and free.

I had a plan; get the jobs I had applied for in Totnes (my local mini Glastonbury), find a way to start offering Reiki and Readings as a self-employed practitioner and then move to Totnes and make it my home.

Totnes was my favourite place. Mum knew it. She would take me there when I was younger if I started getting stressed. I fitted in with my arty clothes and psychic gifts. It was my spiritual home where I could be me.

So the little blips with Noah didn’t really worry me because I had my own life, my own plans, my own car, I was living at my Nan’s and she had agreed to let me stay there for as long as I needed to as I got my new life together.

I was debt-free, fit, healthy, feeling strong in my body and my sexual energy after years of healing.

So I wasn’t feeling trapped, I was choosing him, I was choosing a relationship with him, warts and all. I mean, I was far from perfect myself!

After 8 months of doing other temporary work I finally heard back from both the spiritual bookshop and the colour therapy school in Totnes I had reached out to for work. I got both jobs! The only two places I had reached out to. It was all starting to come together. I was so happy.

After so much turbulence and trauma in my life I longed for stability, I yearned to be able to trust the good when it arrived.

Could I really plan a life and have it happen? Finally?

I was convincing myself I could. Trying to stay positive. But deep down I knew. Beneath all the affirming and visualising I could sense something dark approaching…

As a 4th generation medium I grew up watching my mother and great-grandmother read Tarot and tea leaves. GODDESS GLYPH 1: The Spiral

Each Goddess Glyph is part of a lost visual language (archaeologist Marija Gimbutas calls them The Language of the Goddess), one many of us recognise and feel in our bones. They are familiar yet forgotten.

As I expressed in my recent article Ancient Mother Hunger, something has stirred in me these past months, sending me hunting for the lost language, imagery and culture of the ancient feminine.

I know there is nothing new about this, many of you have studied and created around this remembrance for a long time, I honour you all in my article To the Women Who Have Gone Before Me

I understand the pain of not having your contribution respected and honoured, particularly as a woman in a patriarchal society where women’s innovation has been claimed by men and in a new online age of instant gurus and casual appropriation.

Many of you are just now finding me, so I feel I must say this:

That is NOT me.

I care deeply about honouring the ancestors, the teachers, the way-showers, wise women and pioneers, the women who cleared paths for us at a time when the world was even less awake.

My own in-person teachers and guides these past 25 years went through more than I can imagine to pioneer a path that many of us now walk on.

I have carved my own new territory and been through hell to do it. And I did it knowing many have gone before me making their own way.

My work is born of direct calling, lived initiations and often traumatic experience, deep study, pain, loss and daily devotion.

My deepest soul stirrings and guidance from the ancients steer my words and my work. I come from a long line of seers.

My words are not born of trends, surface level commodification of the sacred or of jumping on any bandwagon. I am not seeking to reinvent the wheel. Anyone who knows me and who has worked with me knows this.

A key aspect of the Feminine wound is how as women our contribution, labour and role has been diminished, taken for granted, unpaid, unacknowledged, stolen, ignored and abused.

I am 54 now and I have been doing this for more than half my life. I know the pain of a younger woman swooping in, seemingly repurposing what I and my ancestors knew and held sacred and then finding the kind of success I didn’t achieve myself, and doing so without acknowledging the shoulders she stands on. (Just look at my own experience as pioneer of Witch Wound work).

That is often how things move on, into new hands. The next generation. Evolution. Carrying the red thread onwards. It isn’t a competition.

However, remembering the lineage is important. Honouring the elders is important.

On a personal note: I am only just now feeling safe and finding peace in my living situation and in my health after many very challenging years.

I am finding my roots again, navigating disabilities and late-diagnosed AuDHD and creating a space for me to gently move forward in my life and work.

That includes reflecting on the past turbulent years, setting clear boundaries and not taking responsibility for other people’s wounds, so I can pursue what nourishes me and serves my community without burning out.

I am resuming my PhD in the metaphysics and epigenetics of ancestral healing and my training as a minister.

I am returning to my art as way to honour the Goddess.

So I can serve re-emerging matriarchy in some small way.

So I can contribute to these times of transformation and remembrance in a way that is embodied and authentic to me.

Always remembering the women who made that possible.

I feel like I am scrabbling around blindly in the rubble for scraps of a lost culture I cannot name, searching for parts of myself like an archaeologist of the soul.

I am training with , creator of the Motherpeace Tarot, deepening my connection with Gimbutas and Mother Goddess through her.

I am immersed in the art of Monica Sjöö and the research of .

I am gathering the crumbs of a Herstory that was never taught to me. That was never taught to any of us.

On a personal level the hunt is rekindling deep memories and realisations about myself and my life…

I grew up near Dartmoor.

I walked the land of spirit and stones and ancient stories long before I knew the magic and medicine they carried.

I painted Brentor for a school art project as a teenager, drawn to it for reasons I couldn’t explain. Actually I painted the energies and light I saw running through it.

The Mary and Michael ley lines converging, twin serpents, sacred weaving of energies entering the moor through an ancient threshold.

The clues to my path were always there.

A fellow sister of the sacred, , wrote an extraordinary piece recently: What Happens When the World Is Motherless. Many of you found your way here to me and my work via that post and her kind recommendation.

She named the wound with unflinching precision, the ten thousand year erasure of the Mother, the logical and devastating endpoint of a world that removed the sacred feminine from its cosmology and called the wound normal.

I read it and wept.

I felt the hunger intensify.

Ancient Mother Hunger is the body’s response to thousands of years of absence.

It is the soul recognising what has been taken.

It is the part of us that remembers, however faintly, however wordlessly, what it felt like to live in a world where the sacred was feminine and women were sacred, where the earth was mother, where women’s knowing was honoured rather than burned.

For tens of thousands of years, in the territory Gimbutas called the pre-history, the primary image of the sacred was feminine.

We have her everywhere in the archaeological record. Carved in bone and clay.

She was Inanna. She was the Venus of Willendorf. She was the nameless figurines found in their thousands across Old Europe, placed with care in temples and homes, held reverently in devoted hands and placed respectfully in graves.

She was tended, honoured, remembered.

And then she was removed.

Ripped from the temples.

From the texts.

From our bodies

From the land.

From the very shape of the sacred.

From our understanding of what we truly are.

And we have been hungry ever since.

✢ Challenge accepted versions of history. Learn the lost Herstories.

✢ Take an intention into ritual, journalling, meditation or prayer, to reconnect with the Ancient Mother memory within you.

✢ Defy the erasure by embodying Her values:
Equality, right relationship, community, respect, reverence, reciprocity, and the centering of women, children, and elders.

When enough of us remember, things do shift.

When enough of us use our voices, things do change.

Deep breaths.

It’s a lot isn’t it.

I know I’ve been quiet here in Substack land. Thanks for your messages asking how I am.

I’ve been navigating a heart condition, AuDHD shutdown and sensory/psychic overload as I prepare for another assessment and navigate these intense times as the tower is falling.

Sleep and minimal output have been my medicine.

I’ll be back soon with part 9 of my Diary of an Awakening Woman for my paying subscribers (aka my Intimates).

Then soon I’ll be taking to the page with my sacred rage

fuelling Her return.

Just as something settles in me or lands to be written, another terrible event cycles through the news and unhooks me, casting me downstream again.

It is fast-moving right now.

More than we can digest.

Relentless unravellings and revelations.

Our bodies are not designed to process a 24 hour news feed of the worst of humanity.

Technology has developed faster than our biology and we are paying the price.

Withdrawing and curating the input seems like the only way for many of us to stay engaged and look after ourselves.

So many personal and collective trigger points are being sparked for women right now. Layers of anger, grief and relief. As my own felt memories of abuse, mysogyny, harrassment, shame and being gaslit rise in me it is scorching me to the core.

A dear soul sister passed suddenly this week too. Such a deep shock.

She is clearly needed elsewhere for this next phase of the fall of the old and the rise of the ancient new.

The grief is hot.

I know these times are unfathomable, my love.

The waves just keep on coming.

Those of you who feel so deeply will be reeling.

It is not selfish to retreat when needed. Inner signals heeded.

Your gossamer system requires heavier shelter than most, more stable stillness and peace.

Protect that peace where you can.

Your gift for insight, compassion, empathy, creativity and expanded vision will be so valuable and valued on the other side of this shift of ages.

As darkness is revealed the light can start to pour in.

It is the way.

Rage if it rises, rest if you need it, respond where you feel called, but know your devotion to truth, to awareness, to love, is enough.

You are enough.

It may not be your role right now to rush in. You might not be designed for front line activism or called to change the ‘system’.

Your activism may be in making, baking, loving, centering, rooting, channeling, grounding, deepening into nature, finding moments of joy, prayer, writing, remembering the lost ways, meditating, making magic, singing or listening to your intuitive nudges and acting on them.

This Moon releases the valve, the pent-up pressure, feelings that need to flow, be felt and set free.

This is not a moment for perfection.

It is a moment of expression.

Your energy literally matters.

Mattering.

Mothering.

Making real.

Midwifing.

Unhook from the drama when you need to. It doesn’t mean you don’t care.

Don’t be shamed by the memes or shaken by the extremes.

Hold true to your own centre, your own truth and your own values.

That will be your guiding light that becomes a lighthouse for others.

Just by being you.

It shows!

For most of the last 25 years as a soul guide and artist for women I have figured it all out as I go along, listening to my heart, gut, intuition and letting life lead me.

Any time I have tried to assert my will or ego over what comes next it all goes to hell.

It has definitely been a path of surrender, scuffed knees and reluctant visibility. Showing up then running to hide back under my duvet.

Recently I was asked to share my article The Tower is Falling with a local awakening group. It was sadly short notice and I couldn’t make it (avoidance much) but I recorded an audio version for them to play.

I just picked up my iPhone and recorded it. If I get into my head and start over-thinking I let perfectionism and self-doubt get in the way.

“Should I get out my studio microphone and do it ‘properly’? It’s still buried under a load of boxes in my art room yet to sort out. If I haven’t got my recording equipment set up then it just won’t be good enough. If I can’t edit it and polish it in my software then it’ll sound rubbish. Oh well I won’t do it then.”

That’s basically how a lot of my ideas and inspirations meet their demise.

So I recorded it right away before I could spiral.

Not perfect but done.

Then I thought, well if I have this audio file how about I add it to my existing Substack article so my community have that option.

Again, not perfect, but done.

As I was adding the audio to my article on Substack, options popped up to share it as a podcast episode. Again, if there are too many steps, obstacles or hurdles it allows too much time for my inner self-sabatoeur and Whirling Dervish to spiral me into paralysis.

This time it looked quick, simple and streamlined. Not at all what it was like when I launched my first podcast 13 years ago or set up my Blog Talk Radio channel 20 years ago! Heaven only knows how I managed that when you basically had to build everything yourself with wood and nails!

Now, please understand I was in no way thinking “Hey, I’m launching a new podcast!”. Like most things I step into I do it hoping nobody will notice, as if I’m doing it with my eyes closed.

If my eyes are closed nobody can see me, right?

So I though I’d just press a few buttons, get it set up, send out an email then pretend it never happened. No biggie.

Then there was an option to syndicate my Substack audios to Spotify. Then Apple Podcasts. Then to YouTube.

Gulp.

Not perfect but done.

Next time I logged in I saw a message asking if I wanted to add a video to Spotify for one of my episodes.

If I do it really quickly I can pretend it never happened.

Done.

Glass of wine.

Back under the duvet.

You get the picture.

I realised recently that in my mind I have this ideal of me sitting in an Instagram-perfect, white glowy office and art studio with my little recording studio area in the corner, everything set up beautifully and bathed in light, pink roses everywhere and not a thing out of place.

If it isn’t that then I’m not good enough, I’m not really doing it.

If it isn’t all perfect then it doesn’t really count, I can pretend I’m not really showing up.

But here I am 25 years later, still trying to tell myself I’m not really doing it. It’s all unplanned and messy around the edges so it’s not real. Right?

I never feel like I’ve arrived or have it figured out. Anxiety spirals and vulnerability hangovers are my unwelcome business partners.

What’s that saying? Life happens when you’re making plans.

Well, I’ve been doing this work for 25 years while I wasn’t looking. Eyes closed, hanging on and hoping nobody will notice.

Not perfect, but done.

And no doubt I’ll keep being imperfect, closing my eyes and jumping into the unknown, doing the things quickly so I can’t chicken out and get in my own way.

Not glamorous. No slick formulas to share. No 5 step plan to sell you.

Just a highly sensitive, clair-everything, Autistic, differently-abled, wounded ‘Spoonie’ artist, making it up as she goes along, who quite honestly would rather hide under her duvet with her cat but has been pushed, ignited and often dragged by a deeper calling that won’t let her off the hook.

Don’t get me wrong, I have an inextinguishable passion to help women rediscover who they really are, to love themselves and navigate these times. I have a burning hunger to revive Goddess and the Great Mother in our consciousness and culture.

And when I feel into that fire and that purpose I can gladly open my eyes, climb out from under my duvet and take the next step.

Not perfect, but done.

It feels unimagineable.

As the light of global awareness starts to shine in the darkest places, I’m here for my fellow seers and sensitives who have been holding so much and who knew about all this horror years ago.

I am here for the ignored, gaslit and so-called ‘crazy conspiracy theorists’, the ones who lost relationships, jobs, income and respect because what they knew about this world clashed so intensely with what others could allow themselves to believe.

I am here for those who are ahead of their time, not made for this world and who thought they were losing their minds when nobody else could see and nobody else would listen.

I see you.

I hear you.

We have felt the shock, the heartbreak and the isolation of not being believed, the pain of knowing the depths of darkness and depravity in the world’s power networks.

We have ached with hellish helplessness at what is being done to women and children by those in the highest positions of responsibility.

Sadly it’s old news to us.

We saw it all.

We felt it all.

Many of us have experienced versions of it personally.

We have carried it for many years.

It is and has been unbearable.

No wonder so many of us are dealing with health issues.

Our bodies have been holding the rage of truths dismissed and denied for decades. For generations. Carrying the personal and systemic pain inflicted by those with the power to punish us further if challenged.

And so, a lot of our activism has been silent, spiritual, personal, hidden, energetic, internal and creative.

We have been exploring spirituality, tending to our own trauma of living in a world led by the worst of humanity and focussing on holding the truth of what is possible when power is held in the right hands and held in the right way.

Many of us are midwives of the new and we have been waiting, many of us struggling to hang on to any hope that this world could ever be centered in love.

A lot of us have done what we can to hold others as they buckle under the weight of it all, barely keeping ourselves together as we do so.

Some of us (out of necessity and for survival) have bypassed and hidden inside fantasy, non-duality, self-medicating, new age dogma, other realms and general avoidance, others have nervous systems so sensitized and advanced they could barely function in a culture that feeds off fear, innocence and compliance.

We have berated ourselves for not ‘reaching our full potential’ or achieving the levels of productivity and success that patriarchy deems valid.

We have opted out, lived on the edges or lost whole parts of ourselves trying to fit in and stay safe in a world not made by us or for us.

We feel immense guilt and shame at not being able to save every child. We feel their pain and it is too much to bear.

This level of darkness is unfathomable to so many of us, so extreme in its polarity from the beauty we see in humanity that our brains simply cannot compute it.

We cannot make sense of it because we are made of and made for something so very different.

It all has to fall.

And as it falls many will awaken in the rubble.

As it falls those who feel the call will finally find their place and find their people.

Our medicine will be needed in a world hungry for goodness, beauty, innocence and truth.

If some of us have stayed silent recently as the scales are falling from millions of eyes, it is because we already knew.

We knew, but nobody wanted to know.

We knew and we were called crazy.

We knew and were gaslit.

We knew but it all felt too huge.

We knew and were medicated.

We knew and were silenced.

We knew and felt powerless.

We knew.

And now that everyone else knows too, what can we do?

How can we take good care of our hearts and nervous systems as things unravel further?

What words can be whispered over a candle flame for those pure souls sacrificed in the name of truth finally being revealed?

Whose names can be lovingly placed on an altar in sacred honouring and remembrance?

How can we soften a little towards our tender places as more truths come out and validation leads to rage, grief and relief?

How can we start sowing seeds of the new?

For The One Who is Exhausted, A Blessing

When the rhythm of the heart becomes hectic,
Time takes on the strain until it breaks;
Then all the unattended stress falls in
On the mind, like an endless, increasing weight.

The light in the mind becomes dim.
Things you could take in your stride before
Now become laboursome events of will.

Weariness invades your spirit.
Gravity begins falling inside you.
Dragging down every bone.

The tide you never valued has gone out.
And you are marooned on unsure ground.
Something within you has closed down;
And you cannot push yourself back to life.

You have been forced to enter empty time.
The desire that drove you has relinquished.
There is nothing else to do now but rest.
And patiently learn to receive the self
You have forsaken in the race of days.

At first your thinking will darken
And sadness take over like listless weather.
The flow of unwept tears will frighten you.

You have travelled too fast over false ground;
Now your soul has come to take you back.

Take refuge in your senses, open up
To all the small miracles you rushed through.

Your ancestors live in your blood and bones.

They live in the soil beneath you, in the air you breathe and in the subtle realms you cannot see.

Healing the Witch Wound allows you to become the reopened gateway between what was silenced and what you can now express loud and proud.

It unlocks a lineage of lost wisdom and magic allowing that energy, potential and possibility to become real, embodied and lived by you here today, weaving untapped Sacred Feminine power into our collective future.

Signs you are working with ancestral medicine and healing the Witch Wound in your lineage include spontaneous flashbacks and deep memories surfacing of living during the institutionalised femicide of the witch hunts.

What we often call past lives can also be memory from your bloodline awakening in you now.

Flashbacks are often timeline loops curling back to you, ancestors showing you what they are experiencing as if it is happening now.

You carry soul aspects and fragments from multiple people across time. All within you now. So rather than a past life experience being a linear remembering of when you were that one person in 17th century England, you carry memories and experiences from possibly millions of ancestors.

When you decide to consciously work with ancestral healing, you might start with your bloodline in linear form to trace your direct tree.

The further back you go the more complex, broad and entangled the roots of your tree become, woven with the mycelium of life and forming a mycorrhizal network of ancestry that runs deep and connects us all.

Uranus in my sun sign of Taurus has torn me to shreds these past few years.

Midwifing my Witch Wound work has been equally painful.

This cosmic cycle is almost done with me and it is leading me into deep change.

This platform I use to connect with you (Substack) works well for me. However the performative expectations and systems that seem laced into so many ableist, neurotypical and muggle online spaces and cultures are not good for me, they are damaging my health. Or rather my attempt to fit into them is.

Menopause has also been stripping me bare. Down to the bone.

And so as a neuro-spicy spoonie with multiple chronic and life-changing health challenges, it is time for me to distil down to a homeopathic potency that which feels right for me.

To burn away anything that isn’t wholly aligned with who I am becoming.

No compromise. No apology. No people-pleasing. No masking.

It must be my messy truth.

It must be my art.

It must be Spirit.

It must be the Divine Mother and the Sacred Feminine.

Or nothing at all.

It’s also time for me to let go of any hold on my Healing the Witch Wound work.

It has been my beloved offering to the world, embodied and lived medicine from my ancestral bloodline and I have quietly nurtured it for over 40 years.

Where it wishes to speak again, it will.

For now, I’m letting it go, trusting that the medicine I’ve planted on this planet will find those who need it, in its own time and form. It is in the hands of the collective now and that has always been my cue to leave and move on.

This time, however, the pain of midwifing my Witch Wound work and how it was initially ripped from my womb before it was fully formed and without acknowledgement or reverence, smashed me to pieces.

It was a true initiation dragging me through fires of healing my own Witch Wound and past life trauma.

I had to hold on long enough to know it was birthed, received, rooted and had found its way into consciousness, held with reverance by enough people. But this one was intense. I got burnt in the process.

For whatever reason, my stewardship and midwifing of this sacred work was not met with a culture of honouring the source, or acknowledging the teacher. As is common online these days.

Honouring our wisdom lineages and human teachers is another aspect of Feminine culture that has been lost.

Creators, sacred stewards and soul midwives have a role that needs protecting and respecting.

Just as the ancient priestesses were protected, honoured and supported by their community as keepers of the gateway between spirit and matter.

Our art is part of us. Even if it does come through us from some other place, we were chosen as the mother and midwife.

I assumed it was my ego struggling when I felt such intense pain at seeing my words and work showing up in places it had no right to be. Being jumped on as the latest trend to serve personal platforms and positioning.

It wasn’t my ego.

It was the ancient ancestral agony of the Feminine being colonised for consumption for millenia.

For generations women, their bodies, minds, creations, knowings and wisdom have been treated like crops and commodities under patriarchy, to be harvested freely without any gratitude, credit or energetic integrity.

Social media and the internet have provided a new and faster medium for the appropriation of the sacred. Of course it can also be used to restore sacredness in our world, if used well (check out the visionary work of Katie Brockhurst).

The ancient memories excavated from my past lives and ancestral traumas, the lack of honouring for deep feminine sourcing that was revealed and the pain of midwifing this work into the world has been excrutiating.

The extent of the sisterhood wound, of women demonstrating patriarchal patterns of shaming and gaslighting me as they copied my work and profited from a femicide has changed me forever.

I understand it was all part of my path. Something I signed up for.

And

I am done.

I am undone.

There is one final instalment lined up of my ‘Ways to start Healing the Witch Wound’ series, which will be published and sent to you on Sunday November 9th.

As I was putting it together I could feel it, these were the final glowing embers.

It’s time.

No bitterness.

Just release (and relief!).

Many are genuinely now carrying the Witch Wound torch with integrity, heart and soul. Sisters of the flame. Receiving from Source themselves.

I have been waiting for them, the next true custodians of this work.

It is in safe hands.

This is a ceremonial handing over.

There will be rituals, tears and deep exhales.

As I accepted this completion, another wound revealed itself behind the pain.

From a young age I was a precocious psychic, artist and spiritual prodigy, “a savant”, they said. In my 20s I was catapulted into visibility before I’d ever truly belonged to myself.

Over time, the extroversion of it all, the constant output, the marketing, the guru culture, the spiritual bypassing, the pressure to be perfect, along with losses and traumas became exhausting.

I held onto it all for far too long. Again maybe it was ego and the need to feel ‘special’? Perhaps it was that inner little girl still seeking parental approval or the need for something that was mine, or maybe the way ahead simply wasn’t clear yet. All of that is understandable, I have compassion for my younger self. However, it was an all-consuming sense of drive, passion and purpose that ignored the needs of my human mind, body and heart.

My decades of being the spiritual teacher on a ‘pedestal’ are thankfully behind me. No more performance, pressure or new age nonsense.

I don’t want it anymore.

My body has been the great leveller. Calling me to slow down and let go of all I thought I was, time and again.

Accepting the degree of my neuro-difference and physical ‘dis-abilities’, as well as my giftedness, has led me to simplify further and further.

No spiritual bypassing allowed now, or denying my reality and struggles because it doesn’t fit into some spiritual paradigm.

I am shedding.

Surrendering.

Letting go.

Letting Goddess.

From the outside things might not look hugely different, but for me this shift is life-changing.

All those dreams and goals I used to have on my vision boards back in the day…. I’m no longer interested in any of it. Life gave me just enough of a taste of all of them to show me it wasn’t really for me. That I wasn’t designed for that level of intensity or exposure.

These manifestations included being contacted by the Oprah Winfrey show many years ago and going down to the Hay House offices in London. I was even invited out to dinner with Louise Hay and collaborated on a book series with HH Dalai Lama.

I can’t even believe it myself as I type those words. It’s as if it was a completely different world. And I was a very different woman.

I am deeply grateful for those opportunities and blessings.

However, my sense of calling, mission and purpose was SO intense it burned me out (internalised patriarchy).

These days I need to live and work in a way that doesn’t require me to abandon myself in order to serve or create (the Feminine returns).

Private Readings will continue. Because I love them.

Inner Sanctum will continue. Because I love this space.

Being able to share and connect with you feeds my soul.

So many of you have been with me for decades. I am immensely grateful for my online community and this more intimate circle. The online world has blessed me with many new friends all over the world.

As I navigate some deep inner shifts, this blog and community will evolve with me.

What I am called towards now, so deeply it brings tears to my eyes, is to create in devotion to the sacred feminine, the lost magic of women and the rebirth of matriarchy.

To advocate through my art for the sensitives, the neuro-spicy mystics, the seers and ‘spoonies’ who are holding and transmuting so much for us all.

I mentioned a while ago I have a passion to create oracle decks because it brings together all that I am, all the threads. And I am doing that. But again it isn’t a linear path of productivity and I live with very real daily challenges that limit my capacity.

I know what I want and so does the universe. My job is to trust that even what seem like detours are all part of the process. If I get out of my own bloody way this time!

So I will carry on putting my new art studio together and start making things with my hands. I need freedom, light and joy now. To create, to play, to follow my heart and my calling towards devotion and creation. To bring the gems I discovered in the dark up into the light through my art.

I am fuelled by a ravenous longing to rediscover the lost ancient ways of women and to immerse myself in the Great Mother and Divine Feminine. Not as a Herstory project but as embodied initiation and lived remembrance, communicating directly, Feminine Gnosis.

My role has always been to translate the unspoken language between worlds and dimensions, to offer words, colours and images that weave threads across thresholds. I am loyal to that, not the algorithm.

I have no road map.

She will find her way through me.

This menopausal mystic is learning the art of less in a world that demands more, reclaiming the quiet, private source beneath the prolific and public years that led me to burn out again and again.

I’m not stepping away from my legacy or calling, I’m stepping away from the version of it that required me to neglect myself and ignore my needs and desires.

I’m returning to a place within that first taught me what sacredness feels like.

Before the flames, before the fear, before patriarchy there were mavens and mothers at the heart of our world.

Women painted the walls of caves, pressed seeds into soil, and whispered prayers to rivers.

They were artists, healers, midwives, dreamers.

To heal, we must remember them and what was lost.

It was a conscious choice not to call my work ‘heal’ the Witch Wound. This is an ongoing, unfolding transformational shift in our human consciousness and cultural paradigm, rather than a 9 step programme with a promise of some destination only I can offer you.

The Witch Wound isn’t only personal and historical.

It is collective, cultural and current.

It is also complex.

I understand the joy and relief of feeling you have healed your own Witch Wound, and it’s not my place to tell you if you have or haven’t. However I would simply say that is just the beginning. Clearing your own field of the fear, suppression and deep memory that is affecting you today can be experienced fairly quickly, with healing practices and energy work.

But that is simply your personal field.


You might feel free of the fear of the Witch Wound and then you go back out and engage with the world and a collective field of culture and consciousness invisibly bombarding you 24/7.


A world of censorship, fear, gaslighting, mysogyny, corruption and a patriarchy amping up it’s oppression and colonisation as it flails around gasping for it’s last dregs of wealth and power.

There are triggers for the Witch Wound everywhere because the dominant consciousness in this current patriarchal paradigm is the same one that killed women all those years ago.

We are immersed in it.

So what helps is to immerse yourself in the counter to that culture.

The Witch Wound lives in the inherited fear of the unseen and the devaluing and dismissal of unprovable realities.

For centuries, women were punished for their knowing and command of the invisible. Whispers that had once guided communities and generations burned to ash.

What was for millenia at the centre of our internal guidance system through this world was made a crime that could cost our lives.

Honouring intuition now is part of sacred feminine remembrance and ancestral healing.

Those whispers of your inner knowing that you brush aside, the quiet, steady pulse of truth, it never left you, despite being buried beneath generations of silenced bones.

To reclaim your intuitive authority is to stop outsourcing your knowing to systems that were built to silence you. It is a process of rebuilding trust with your body, your inner rhythms, your own lived wisdom.

Your intuition is your first sense (not your sixth sense!), the ancient language of the body and soul that predates logic and law. Before scripture and science, women listened to the wind in the trees, to the ache of the womb, the sounds of the rain, and to the pattern of stars and dreams. Every woman carried her own internal temple of knowing. That’s what was burned — not just the women, but the trust in their direct connection to the Divine.

Every year around this time I see more awareness of the Witch Wound. Thank Goddess! I’ve been carrying this work largely alone for decades. Sisters are waking up and stepping up.

However, do be discerning. Don’t be lured by quick fix claims of instant healing sweeping the new age webiverse. Deeply integrated healing that is lasting and grounded takes time and it isn’t about someone else doing the healing for you.

Healing the Witch Wound is really a path of reclamation and remembrance.

It is a process of reuniting with your own healer within.

For me this work isn’t a trend or the latest bandwagon, it is my deep, lived, ancestral work and a sacred legacy woven into my soul’s purpose in this lifetime. Even when I don’t explicity name the Witch Wound in my work it is there, woven into the fabric of all I do, being gently tended to by every Tarot reading, each mentoring session, social media offering, poem and painting.

I am the medicine. You are the medicine.

That’s what it’s like when what you are here to do is also who you are. Embodied. Bled. Breathed.

To see what is for me a deeply personal lived legacy spreading far and wide igniting awareness in others moves me deeply, it is as it is meant to be. It was never solely mine. However, the process of letting go and navigating the pain of those moments when my birthings have been used and misused, without honouring and acknowledging their mother, has sometimes been crushing.

This is part of the Witch Wound itself.

Patriarchy has stolen the innovations of women for generations, pillaging feminine creation for it’s own glory. They literally deleted the pioneering work of women from the HIStory books, denying (and fearing) the sacred power of a woman to channel the new. Then gaslighting them if they complain.

I have lived this.

It felt like having my baby stolen from the cradle then sold in the marketplace. Then feeling ashamed, petty and ‘unspiritual’ for saying aything about it.

That is my wound to tend.

I share this because we have a misconception that offering healing means you must be healed yourself. Not true.

Healing, of the Witch Wound in particular is very much about embracing the shadow and the imperfect beauty of our humanity, and that which has been made sinful by patriarchal doctrine designed to make women ashamed and submissive.

Healing the Witch Wound is about reclaiming our sovereign power and autonomy, calling back that which has been stolen from generations of women.

It is not my job to heal you or your Witch Wound.

It is my passion to help ignite your own sacred remembrance of who women have always been and to be a catalyst for your own inner healing capacity.

I am merely a bridge, channel and midwife between ages, between worlds and dimensions, helping you gather red threads of ancestral blood and wisdom, helping you resurrect the perfectly whole Divine blueprint that you already are and have always been.

Whether through word, paint, poetry or divination, I am here to show you who you have always been.
